The video is 33 minutes in length, and it details the first four generations of Matthew Greenell's descendants. The video is professionally narrated. There are fourteen "Grinnells" whose histories are detailed because of the extraordinary nature of their lives or their importance in our family tree. The video contains photographs of many of these persons (photography began in the 19th century). There are lists of Grinnells in the US Congress, mammals and birds named by Joseph Grinnell (latin names with grinnelli appended), and geological features discovered and named by George Bird Grinnell. The video is alive with sounds of birds, railroads, ocean sounds for the many whaling merchants and boat captains, and music for the Grinnell Brothers Music House. You are probably aware that many of us belong to the Mayflower Society because of the marriage of 3rd generation Daniel to the granddaughter of John Alden and Priscilla Mullins.
