Hi Board (and interested party) members!
Tully Ed called me this morning and reminded me of one of my duties as President, and that's to set and announce the agenda for the board meeting.
Do we want to meet solely on Saturday or do we think we need two days of meetings to digest all this stuff?
Where and when is the meeting? Can everyone attend?
Unfortunately, I do not have a copy of last year's agenda, so I'm not entirely sure what we need do discuss, save for the following issues (not necessarily in this order!):
* Committee/Departmental Reports
Newsletter
Genealogical
Treasurer
Membership
* Old business
Book sales
Book donations
Genealogy Committee issues
* 7-generation research
Web Site?
Newsletter issues
* New business
Elizabeth Bartelds issues
Ark. Jim Grinnell's resignation (Genealogical Committee issues)
Constitution and By-Laws review/revisions
Web Site Domain Name?
* Nomination and election of officers for 1998-1999
* 1999 Reunion site
Pittsburgh
Las Vegas
* 2000 Reunion Site
Seekonk
I'm sure I'm missing an awful lot, but I need to get a letter out to the board members to let them know when the meeting will be and what the agenda will be. Can I get some assistance on what's needed?
Finally, should we have, say, 5 or 6 books printed for possible sale at the reunion? I can have them drop-shipped to Don if we do this.
I look forward to your counsel.
See you in July!
Larry
